Conditions of Tenancy - Holiday accommodation - Please read carefully

ARRIVAL, PAYMENT, KEYS

  • Total tariff must be paid before keys are made available.
  • Keys to be collected from our office during office hours: (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm or Sat 9am-4pm).
  • Access to the holiday property not before 1pm.
  • If you are arriving outside of business hours full payment must be made before arrival. 
  • ANY PEAK PERIOD BOOKINGS MUST BE PAID 1 MONTH BEFORE ARRIVAL.
  • All keys to be returned to our office at 12 Main Street, Crescent Head.

BOND

Credit card details are collected and securely held in lieu of a bond payment, to be charged against in the event that any damage or breakages occur or extra cleaning or excess rubbish removal is required after your occupancy - up to an amount of $300.  Upon arrival you must notify our office of any items of concern in your holiday property.

DEPARTURE

Departure time is 9am unless other arrangements are made with our office.

PETS

Definitely NO pets allowed in any holiday property.

TENTATIVE BOOKINGS

Tentative bookings are confirmed with payment of deposit to be received within 10 days of booking along with the signed Holiday Accommodation Confirmation.  If deposit payment - and a signed and completed Holiday Accommodation Confirmation - is not received by the due date your tentative booking will be cancelled without further notification.

DEPOSIT PAYMENTS

Deposits are required as follows:

  • $200 for bookings up to 12 months ahead
  • 50% total tariff on Christmas/school holiday bookings by 1st September
  • 50% total tariff on Easter/school holiday bookings by 1st February
  • 50% total tariff on Sept/Oct school holiday bookings by 1st July
  • Balance of school holiday or Dec/Jan bookings to be paid 1 month before arrival.
  • ALL CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS ATTRACT A 1% FEE.

OWNER HAS FIRST RIGHT OF OCCUPANCY

All bookings are made in good faith but may be subject to change, as may be notified by the owner of the property prior to you taking up occupancy.  We regret that we cannot accept responsibility for actions taken by the owner but will make every effort to offer alternative accommodation should this occur.

BOOKING FEE

A booking fee of $8.80 is payable on every booking.

CANCELLATIONS

In the event of a cancellation the deposit will only be refunded if the property is relet for the full term of the original booking.  Please note a cancellation fee of $30 plus the original booking fee of $8.80 will be deducted from any refund allowed.  Any monies paid are considered deposit monies.

DAMAGE OR BREAKAGES

Any damage or breakages must be reported and paid for. No items must be removed from the property for any reason.

RATES

Rates quoted are on a weekly basis.  Peak period bookings are Saturday to Saturday only.  Outside these times bookings are accepted for broken weeks and rates quoted on request.

CLEANING FEE

A cleaning fee is payable on single night bookings.

LINEN

You must supply your own linen and towels unless the specification sheet states otherwise.

SENIORS DISCOUNT

Some properties offer Senior Card discount of 10%.  Request must be made at time of booking quoting senior card number.

STRATA BYLAWS

All tenants of strata units must comply with the By laws as per the Strata Titles Act 1996.

PERIOD OF OCCUPANCY

The premises are let for holiday purposes only for the period stated on the receipt.

PERSONAL PROPERTY

No responsibility is accepted for personal property on the premises during your stay, or left on the premises after departure.

CLEANING

Tenants are required to leave premises clean and tidy.  Washing up to be done and dishwashers emptied, floors to be vacuumed and cleaned, all garbage to be placed in the bins provided.  Failure to do so will result in an additional cleaning fee.

Our Forward Bookings Policy

Bookings are taken no more than 12 months in advance from the time of booking.  You must rebook your desired property before departing.

All prices, specifications, fees and conditions of letting are subject to change without notice.  Point Break Realty will not be responsible for or make refunds to people who are not satisfied with the accommodation they have booked.  (Note: this means whether or not said premises have been inspected by the tenant prior to booking.)
